About
I am an enthusiastic, driven engineer and researcher who thrives on challenges and embraces new opportunities. My journey integrates leadership, volunteerism, industry experience, and academic research —experiences that have shaped my adaptability, collaborative spirit, and technical capabilities.
I have served as vice president of the Student Union, student organizer for CANCOM2024, and volunteer worker at both the Asian Games and the National Research Council of Canada (where I continue to contribute). These experiences have strengthened my communication and leadership skills. I was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Student award in 2014 and the Excellent Graduate award in 2016. My master’s thesis contributed to a project that received the CCE-JEC Innovation Award at the 21st JEC Composites Exposition.
Professionally, I have over five years of experience in the automotive and aerospace industries. At Airbus Group, I worked as a Stress Engineer, responsible for the structural design and stress analysis of the A350 aircraft’s wing lower cover, a key component made from carbon fiber-reinforced polymer composites. I obtained the ‘Task-300’ signature authorization, qualifying me to approve stress assessments and structural repairs. In addition, I taught part-time at Conestoga College as a Professor in Quality Engineering, where I delivered AI-focused courses such as Current Topics in Quality Engineering and Data Analytics, with a strong emphasis on Industry 4.0 applications.
Currently, I am a Ph.D candidate in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. My research interests focus on the integration of deep learning in composite design and manufacturing, automation and optimization, and material and damage characterization.
